Jini Patel Thompson was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 1986. She was severely affected and on many different medications. She was told by doctors that she would never have children, sustainable employment, or any normalcy in her life. Treatment was medical with the prospect of frequent hospitalization and gruesome surgeries. She refused to accept this fate, and like I have, she decided to take matters into her own hands.

It took her several years of copious research and testing of holistic methods before reaching a cure for herself. She has outlined therapies to heal each phase of bowel diseases. These resources can be obtained for nominal costs at listentoyourgut.com.

In my case, bowel obstructions have been a miserable experience over the past year. They have caused two lengthy hospitalizations and a lot of pain and suffering. After my second hospitalization I came across Jini’s Intestinal Stricture Guide, which outlines a protocol for healing fibrotic strictures in the intestine. This is an experimental protocol. Jini has had success in many cases but also requests that anyone trying the therapy document the results for her research.

Stricture Heal Protocol involves two steps: oral and topical. Apparently the topical alone can yield good results over time but combining the oral and the topical is more beneficial. I have been doing the oral protocol once daily instead of twice and the topical protocol once daily, but usually the fast method. My problem is time! I do believe it has helped me open up my stricture.

Ingredients for the oral part of the protocol: wild oil of oregano, George’s aloe vera juice, colloidal silver, potassium iodide, 99% DMSO, probiotic.

* I have omitted the aloe vera juice as it is SCD illegal. I have been using 70% DMSO from Jacob’s Laboratory as I read it is the most pure.

Ingredients for the topical part of the protocol: 99% DMSO, George’s aloe vera juice, potassium iodide.

* I have also omitted the aloe vera juice here and have used 70% DMSO from Jacob’s Laboratory.

The Intestinal Stricture Guide can be purchased through Jini Patel Thompson’s website. It is well worth the few dollars it costs! Also note Jini recommends you stick to the brands she has outlined. You can purchase these items through her website or find them on amazon.com. The only product I used differently was the DMSO. Jacob’s Laboratory is known for having very pure DMSO at various concentrations. I have not experienced any odour, just a transient garlic/oyster taste after administration. The next bottle I order will be 90+% concentration so I can more closely follow Jini’s guidelines.

I am still in the process of trying this treatment, along with the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. I will update this page as I progress.
